Classified Scam : firstname.lastname@example.org Service9
|Scam contents||I saw an ad for L.L. Bean sale shoes online (I think while I was on Facebook). I ordered slippers and loafers. I received a package of Gucci socks!|
|Your comments / analysis||I did not print out my order because I assumed I would receive an email confirming it. I received an email from Service9, which was not the name of the company I thought I had ordered from. That was my first clue that this was not a legitimate L.L. Bean offering. I checked into it online and ran across your website and realized I was going to be scammed. Sure enough, I received a package of Gucci socks, the not slippers or shoes I ordered. I communicated several times with Service9 at email@example.com trying to cancel my order and get my credit card refunded, to no avail. The charge on my credit card was from CHOCOPORT. I have tried googling that, but find nothing. I have left it in the hands of my credit card company.|
